It's been another full few months since we last wrote. Here are lots of pictures and some news as we enter our last couple of months of living and working at Ukarumpa, in Papua New Guinea. What a great privilege it has been!

A bit more News from the Sahls December 2017
To all of our Friends and Family, those who pray for us and those who support us financially,
We have some news that will mean big changes for our family in the near future.
Last year, then again at the beginning of this year, Max was approached by the Wycliffe Australia Board to apply for the next Wycliffe Australia CEO position, beginning in May 2019.
That began a journey of us thinking and praying through how this might
work. During this time Max went through an interview process with the Board and
just one week ago was offered the position, which he has accepted.
This means we will leave Papua New Guinea in June 2018, take a 6 months furlough to connect with churches, friends and family, then move to Kangaroo Ground, Melbourne, Australia, in January 2019. Justin will start school at that time and Max will have a few months overlap with Barry Borneman, the current CEO.
The position is not a salaried position and will rely on us having
continued financial support from churches and individuals.
We are excited about the new job and the move as we have seen God gently
change our direction. We have prayed for years that he would lead us on to the
next thing, just as he led us here to PNG, rather than us wear out, or simply stay
because we didn’t know what else to do. We’re grateful that we can be confident
of God’s calling in this because when things are difficult we can trust that he
has done the leading and he will make a way through, as he has done for many
years so far.
Things you can pray with us are:
* Finishing well in Papua New Guinea – many, many friendships, continuing
our work right up to the end, packing a crate of some things to bring back but
getting rid of most things.
* Both the boys finishing school here in June - Jeremy Grade 12 and Justin
Grade 10.
* Helping the boys transition well to life in Australia. – Jeremy into
University and Justin into a different school system. We don’t know how that is
going to work yet.
* Max moving into this new role which will be overseeing the operations of
Wycliffe Australia world wide.
* For all of us as we have big changes in the next 18 months.
We so appreciate each one of you, your contributions to our lives over many years, and look forward to this next chapter and taking you on the journey with us.
Blessings to you, Max, Helen, Jeremy and Justin Sahl.

News from the Sahls March 2017
There has been plenty going on over the past few months, here in PNG. The school term has just finished, our branch conference is over - a really encouraging, inspiring time and now we have about a week before school begins again for the final term of the year. It's good to have some unscheduled time - the garden, and the sewing machine are going to get some attention from me! Here are some pictures and news from our part of the world.

April 28, 2015 So, here we are in the world of blogs, attempting to post our first newsletter about our work in PNG.
It's April 2015, and we're in the middle of our furlough time in Australia and preparing to go back to PNG in July. Here are lots of pics and a bit of news about what's going on. We appreciate your prayers as we negotiate these coming months of change again.
